50 heads of African countries are going to travel to the Washington to attend the first ever U.S - African summit this week.It is also known that President Barack Obama announced that the U.S. government, World Bank and businesses will invest a combined $33 billion in Africa’s economy, showcasing America’s economic ties to a continent.
According to reports U.S will invest $7 Billion in African soil and $14 Billion will go through in the form of capital investment by private sector.This could revive the economic status of many countries.This comes after the fact that Africa boasts 12 of the top 20 fastest growing countries this year, according to the IMF .
This would strategically help both U.S and Africa as U.S wants to increase the trade to Africa and Africa would be fertile for American companies as African national economies are emerging Economies.
