August 6,1945 the day after which world changed forever,the day on which for the first time in human history a whole city was smashed by an Atomic bomb.This is the day in the history of the world when Hiroshima a Japanese city was bombarded by U.S.A at the time of World War II.
Now after 69 years about 45,000 people stood for a minute of silence at the ceremony in Hiroshima’s peace park near the epicentre of the 1945 attack that killed up to 140,000 people. A second bombing, over Nagasaki three days later, killed another 70,000, prompting Japan’s surrender in World War II.
The number of surviving victims, known as "hibakusha," was just more than 190,000 this year. Their average age is 79, and many of the attendants at the ceremony were their younger relatives and descendants. Hiroshima officials said 5,507 survivors died over the past year.
It is also a significant day to Japan as according to their new constitutional amendment Japan can fight in overseas too.This was passed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe cabinet and country is divided over it.This may be used in favor of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's cabinet.
